Adax Retard 1 mg,Abaxon to benzodiazepines, myasthenia gravis, insuf. Severe respiratory distress, sleep apnea syndrome, severe IH, closed-angle glaucoma. Acute intoxication by alcohol or other active agents on CNS.
|Composition: Adax 0.25 mg: each tablet contains: Alprazolam 0.25 mg. Adax 0.50 mg: each tablet contains: Alprazolam 0.50 mg. Adax 1 mg: each tablet contains: Alprazolam 1 mg. Adax Retard 0.5 mg: each prolonged-release tablet contains: Alprazolam 0.5 mg. Adax Retard 1 mg: each prolonged-release tablet contains: Alprazolam 1 mg.|
|Therapeutic Action: Tranquilizer. Ansiolítico.|
|Indications: Neurotic or reactive depression. For the management of anxiety disorders, coadjuvant in the treatment of anxiety associated with mental depression. Treatment of panic disorders with or without agoraphobia.|
|Dosage: Adax: 0.25 to 0.50 mg 1 to 3 times a day. Maximum dose 4 mg. Adax Retard: for anxiety the usual dose is 0.5 to 4 mg daily in 1 or 2 doses. For neurotic depression (reactive) the usual dose is 0.5 mg to 4.5 mg daily in 1 or 2 doses, for panic disorders 0.5 to 1 mg at bedtime or 0.5 mg twice a day. In elderly patients, in advanced liver disease or debilitating disease, the dose is 0.5 mg 1 or 2 times a day.|
|Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to benzodiazepines. Narrow angle glaucoma. Myasthenia gravis. Severe chronic bronchial obstruction.|
